What Is IFS Therapy, and How Does It Work?
Internal Family Systems, also known as IFS is an innovative approach to psychotherapy. It is is a type of therapy that believes we are all made up of several parts or sub-personalities. I realize that this can sound a bit confusing, but it is basically saying that there are different parts of you that become present from time to time, learning about these parts of you can help you deeper understand yourself, your needs and move toward healing.
What really is Internal Systems ( IFS) Therapy?
Dr. Richard Schwars developed IFS. It is a groundbreaking evidence-based approach to psychotherapy that seeks to understand the mind, help people heal, and ultimately make the world a more compassionate place.
IFS therapist believe that our core Self can help us balance our inner parts, or “ internal families” , allowing us to become integrated and whole.
